Dream Bars

Quantity Ingredients Preparation Notes

Bottom

 To prepare bottom: 
  •    Heat oven to 375 degrees
  •    Work butter until smooth
  •    Work in brown sugar
  •    Sift in flour and salt
  •    Pat into bottom of 9" square pan
  •    Bake 10 minutes

 To prepare topping:

  •   Beat eggs until frothy
  •   Mix in brown sugar, flour and salt
  •   Mix until smooth
  •   Add nuts, coconut and vanilla

Then:

  •   Turn oven temp up to 425 degrees 
  •   Spread egg mixture over partially baked crust
  •   Bake 15 - 18 minutes
  •   Cool before serving
1/2 C Butter
1/2 C Firmly Packed Brown Sugar
1 C Sifted Flour
Dash Salt

Topping

3 Eggs
1 C Firmly Packed Brown Sugar
2 Tbsp Flour
Dash Salt
1/2 C Chopped Nuts
1 C Coconut - shredded
1 tsp Vanilla
